Updated June 23, 2025
The Stop Campus Hazing Act (SCHA), enacted on December 23, 2024, amends the Clery Act1 to prioritize the prevention of and transparency about hazing incidents at colleges and universities.
Annual statistics on hazing are available in the University’s Annual Fire Safety and Security Report. Please note that hazing statistics will be included beginning with the 2026 report (issued in 2027). Hazing statistics include incident reports that meet the federal definition of hazing in Section 485(f)(6)(A) of the Higher Education Act of 1965 (20 U.S.C 1092(f)(6)(A)).
