Basic Requirements

Must be a Christian who is a member of a church that holds Jesus Christ to be their Lord and Savior, and who holds solely the Old Testament and the New Testament as sacred Scriptures. 

BBA, BA, or BS degree required. Preferred concentration in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration and Management. 

General Objectives

  • Responsible for oversight and supervision of the Cashier's Office.
  • Support the constant collection efforts of funds for the University’s student account receivables.
  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels for the Cashier’s Office.
  • Continually lead and plan for the development of the Cashier’s Office.
  • Provide a historical baseline to set and predict future cash collection goals and trends.
  • Provide after-hours and weekend support when required.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Call Center, ensuring all policies are carried out to support registration and collection of funds by resolving student balances.
  • Ensure all University funds are correctly deposited into the DBU bank accounts; coordinate activities with the full-time Cashier’s Office, Business Office Staff, departmental deposits and third-party armored car service.
  • Support the University’s registration process through the Student Account Management System. Collaborate heavily with the Financial Aid Office, Registrar and other enrollment driven departments on campus.
  • Meet with and counsel students and/or parents regarding their payment arrangements for their student accounts as needed.
  • Administer the University’s Student Insurance Program; upload continual coverage, reconcile appropriate funds, create purchase orders, validate insurance waivers, and conduct program renewal process once a year. Verify all required students have appropriate health insurance and maintain accurate proof of coverage records.
  • Process and send student account statements each month through the mail and e-statement.
  • Work with Director of Student Account Services to ensure daily adherence to Payment Card Industry Security Standard Compliance, Red Flag Act, FERPA and additional privacy measures.
  • Maintain all department and personnel procedures, student financial records and imaging system documentation for the Cashier’s Office.
  • Supervise the specific staffing levels for part-time members by approving timecards, schedules, and reviewing requests for time-off.
  • Serve as back up for Collections Manager, and Director of Student Account Services in respect to necessary duties and responsibilities.
  • All other responsibilities assigned by the Director of Student Account Services and administration as requested.

  • Serve the Programming Department by assisting with personnel support, server administration, systems integrations, and other various operational tasks and projects.
  • Provide security initiatives and measures on all systems, as well as providing routine audit checks and reports.
  • Provide support where needed on hardware and software issues on all systems.
  • Maintain in-depth documentation of all systems and internal processes.
  • Provide after-hours and weekend support when required.
  • Provide training and documentation of internal department procedures.

  • Strong database design knowledge is required.
  • Experience working with Visual Studio, Transact SQL, Java, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Office products, PowerShell, .Net, and Entrinsik Informer reporting tools is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of demonstrated experience and a bachelor’s degree required.

Responsibilities

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining database-dependent applications written utilizing several different languages, including Envision code.
  • Support departments on campus and supply access to the records those departments maintain including student information records and alumni records.
  • Create reports using UniQuery scripting and/or Entrinsik Informer reporting tools for retrieving records from Colleague UniData Db which is used to track university-related business, student academic records and financial records.
  • Support major vendor applications such as Ellucian’s Colleague, OnBase document imaging, Blackboard LMS, and others.
  • Aiding in the maintenance and enhancement of existing software and documentation including debugging, documenting code, and modifying routines.
  • Provide customer support and conflict management when dealing with university staff and students.
  • Report any security violations or policy violations to the Programming Manager and the Vice President for Information Technology.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation on processes and services on the university systems of responsibility.
  • Assist in the Disaster Recovery procedures and documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.
