Maturing the Blockchain Ecosystem: Which part of the future is here?

The session is designed to spur non-technical thinking and business motivation around a new choice from our technology tool-box which the world fondly and loosely refers to as blockchain. Blockchain is actually not a technology. It is pattern. It is a pattern that represents a genre of decentralized networks, as distinct from most current centralized platforms.

There are other decentralized patterns, esoteric and lesser known than, blockchain. We have come to live with the term as a loose and interchangeable reference to the decentralized collective. That aside, the essential discussion is on the characteristics of blockchain’s unprecedent capabilities, why the movement is so disruptive, and the rippling outcomes from blockchain for institutions, businesses, and society at large to consider in the context of 4th industrial revolution in cyber-physical world.
