Be Strong and Keep On

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9

  Give Now

Joshua 1:9 has become the banner verse for Dallas Baptist University during this pandemic.

As a nation and as individuals, we do not know where we are headed, but we can rest assured with the strength and courage that we are going day by day with Jesus. Just as God promised to be with Joshua, the same promises ring true for us.

We know many people are hurting right now—physically, mentally, spiritually, and financially. Ninety percent of our students rely on some form of financial aid. The pandemic caused us to have to cancel our Spring fundraising events, which provide scholarship support for our students. We awarded scholarships to students in anticipation of the funds raised at these events, and now faculty and staff have begun to voluntarily take reductions in pay to help the University afford this important scholarship support to our students.

That is why we launched the Joshua 1:9 Campaign to achieve two goals:

  • To bring together the DBU Family in prayer for one another
  • To provide financial support for our students

If you need prayer for yourself or a loved one, please submit a prayer request. DBU has a committed prayer team that would be blessed to pray for you.

Will you join the Joshua 1:9 Campaign by praying, and if you are able, by donating funds for student scholarships?
