Trip Theme

Discovering Your Calling

This trip will be an interactive experience that is designed to help you explore who God made you to be, what His direction is for your life, and how you can grow deeper spiritually in your walk with Him.

Each day will be a mixture of time spent with professors exploring your calling, guided free time that will allow you to get away in nature to pray about your calling, and time spent with the group seeing some amazing sites. We will see sites such as the Grand Canyon, some of the iconic sites along old Route 66, and the beautiful mountains of New Mexico.

You'll also have the chance to do the following:

  • Take a battery of personality tests like the Myers-Briggs, Enneagram, Five Voices, and Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Inventory (among others) to unpack your unique, God-given personality
  • Engage in a series of exercises to help you become a student of your own history and see how God has already been weaving clues into your story about His plan for your future
  • Read and discuss selections from books like The Call, Who God Says You Are, Anatomy of the Soul, The Cost of Discipleship, The Simplest Way to Change the World, and How Then Should We Work
  • Analyze Biblical images that help you understand your identity, calling, and mission
  • Engage in guided prayer times and spiritual journaling to help you learn to listen to God’s voice
  • Complete a comprehensive Calling Profile
