Employees and COVID-19 Protocols

Thank you for all that you are doing to keep DBU moving forward in the midst of this pandemic. We are in this together, and we are working hard to ensure that DBU remains one of the safest campuses in the world as we seek to continue our mission of producing servant leaders.

Over the past several months, the DBU Administration has been working to implement new policies and develop safety protocols for the DBU campus. Below you will find information about these initiatives.

Again, thank you for continuing to be a part of an incredible campus environment, even if that environment looks a bit different in the midst of this pandemic. Let’s all Be Strong and Keep On.

Core Responsibilities

DBU is committed to maintaining an on-campus community in the midst of this pandemic crisis, and in order to do that, we must all come together and seek for the care and safety of others.

To this end, DBU has developed a set of four Core Responsibilities for every member of the campus community, as well as off-campus visitors, to abide by and to implement.

These include:

  • Social Distancing – keep a 6-foot distance from others
  • Face Coverings – wear a face covering when in public
  • Protect Yourself – wash your hands, cover your mouth, check your temp
  • Reporting, Isolation, Quarantining – when you are sick, let us know and stay home until you are better

Health and Safety Policy

In order to ensure the DBU Administration and the Coronvirus Taskforce has established Health and Safety Policies for both students and employees of DBU.

Campus Information

Throughout the summer, DBU has implemented new protocols and provided new resources in order to continue to provide on-campus learning opportunities while also maintaining a safe campus environment.

Symptoms Reporting

For the health and safety of the DBU community, all students, faculty, and staff are required to self-monitor their health on a daily basis and complete a Daily Health Check form in order to engage in any campus activity. More information about this procedure can be found on our resources page.

If you believe that you have developed any symptoms related to COVID-19, are being tested for COVID-19, or come into contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, you are required to submita Symptoms Reporting form. More information about the procedures for reporting can be found on our resources page.
