Rogers Intercessory Prayer Ministry

The DBU Orville and Esther Beth Rogers Prayer Ministry was established by Dr. Gary Cook in 1988 during his first days as president of Dallas Baptist University. Since its founding, the ministry has existed to encourage the DBU family—along with more than 2,000 Patriot Prayer Partners—to seek the Lord and invite His movement on our campus.

We foster both individual and corporate prayer by sharing specific prayer needs and by hosting intentional prayer gatherings for the University. Each week, student members of the prayer team pray faithfully in the Cynthia Faith Estes Prayer Room, joined by faculty and staff who gather there during the first and last fifteen minutes of each work day. In addition, faculty and staff regularly lift up requests shared through a daily prayer email, ensuring that the needs of our campus are continually covered in prayer.

The Prayer Room

The Prayer Room is on the lower level of the Pilgrim Chapel. Prayer requests submitted to the Prayer Ministry are prayed over daily in the Prayer Room. Call us at (214) 333-5235, and we will help you find a convenient time to visit the Prayer Room.
