Master of Arts in International Relations
The Master of Arts in International Relations is a 30-hour, non-thesis program designed to equip leaders for service in a broad array of multicultural contexts, including for-profit business, non-profit/non-governmental organizations, diplomacy, and government. The degree provides a broad-based view of how the interplay between diverse cultures affects commerce, diplomatic relations, society, government, religion, foreign affairs, the arts, and other facets of society in today’s global environment. Graduates of the program will be equipped to lead with distinction and diplomacy in an ever-globalizing world, as well as serve their communities in culturally-sensitive ways.
More than an Education
Students will learn from professors with experience in their field who will engage them in classroom lectures as well as off-campus experiential learning opportunities. Students will also have the opportunity to travel, intern internationally, network with other professionals, and be mentored by subject matter experts in their field. The M.A. in International Relations provides a broad-based view of how the interplay between diverse cultures affects commerce, diplomatic relations, society, government, religion, foreign affairs, the arts, and other facets of society in today’s global environment.

Admission Requirements for the M.A. in International Relations

Admission to one graduate program does not guarantee admission to another. Applicants who show potential for graduate study but do not meet the criteria for Full Admission may be admitted for up to 12 hours under provisional status. Students admitted under Provisional Admission will be granted Full Admission upon successful completion of 12 credit hours and fulfillment of the conditions of their admission as determined by the Master’s Degrees Admission Committee.
