Associate of Science

The Associate of Science degree program is designed to prepare students with a strong foundation in the biological sciences. It provides students with strong liberal arts and science education that will prepare them for acceptance into professional schools of nursing, allied health, and other programs.

Classes Start

Generally, classes begin four times a year:

  • Spring
  • Summer
  • Fall
  • Winter

Credit Hours Overview

As required for all Associate's degrees, students must complete the following:

  • General Studies Courses (i.e., English, History, Mathematics)
  • Electives*
    • Lower-Level Electives (1000-2000 level courses)
    • Upper-Level Electives (3000-4000 level courses)
  • Minimum Total Credit Hours Required: 60 Credit Hours**

*Courses chosen by the student that will count toward a bachelor's degree, but may not be directly related to the degree program being pursued.
