Join the Institute for Global Engagement and the C.S. Lewis Institute - Dallas for special evening on Thursday, September 10, as DBU hosts author Dr. Grace Hamman. She will present a lecture titled "The Surprising Strength of Meekness: What Medieval Virtues and Vices Teach Us About Life Together Today", on a chapter from her book Ask of Old Paths: Medieval Virtues and Vices for a Whole and Holy Life, followed by a moderated discussion.

Dr. Grace Hamman

Grace Hamman, Ph.D. (Duke University) is a writer and independent scholar of late medieval poetry and contemplative writing. In addition to authoring Ask of Old Paths, she also wrote Jesus through Medieval Eyes: Beholding Christ with the Artists, Mystics, and Theologians of the Middle Ages. Her work has been published by academic and popular outlets, including Plough Quarterly and The Journal of Medieval and Early Modern Studies. She lives near Denver, Colorado, with her husband and three young children.
