Olena Ogiozee, who goes by Helen, is a native Ukrainian who got saved at the age of 12 and immediately received a call of God to a teaching ministry. Pursuing the call, she came to the USA at the age of 18 to study at Christ for the Nations Institute. Having completed three years of Practical Theology with a minor in missions at CFNI, she obtained an MA in Biblical Interpretation, Pre-Doctoral Studies, with Regent University as well as a second MA in Journalism/Strategic Communication with the same school. It was during her time at CFNI that Helen heard about Dallas Baptist University, having many of her friends study and then work at this wonderful school. The Lord, however, did not open the door for her to teach here until September 2014 when she became an instructor in the Intensive English Program. She is now an Adjunct Professor of Communication Theory teaching COMA 1302 to international students. Helen considers every moment of instruction at DBU a divine opportunity and privilege of serving future leaders from around the globe.
