Dallas Baptist University, Texas will be hosting a comprehensive programmatic accreditation visit by a team of evaluators from the Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE) (November 7-10, 2022) to determine its compliance with the standards for accreditation.

During the visit, representatives of the ABHE team will entertain comments from the public. Any members of the public interested in making a presentation regarding the University to the team should contact the University at the following telephone number (214) 333-5256 or email address (abhe@dbu.edu) to determine a meeting time. Persons interested in reviewing the standards for accreditation will find them on the ABHE website at abhe.org. They appear under Accreditation/Accreditation Documents/COA Manual. The institution is subject to the Institutional Programmatic Accreditation Standards.

Financial Disclosure

Estimated tuition, systemwide fees, and housing rates/fees for the 2020-2021 academic year are on DBU’s website. Some or all instruction for all or part of the Academic Year 2020-2021 may be delivered remotely. Tuition, mandatory fees, and housing rates/fees have been set regardless of the method of instruction and will not be refunded in the event instruction occurs remotely for any part of the Academic Year.  In the event of a local, state, or national stay at home order, University Housing may remain open for students. In the event University Housing remains open, Campus residents will be responsible for the costs assigned through their Housing Agreement.

Exposure Risks Disclosure

The novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. COVID-19 is reported to be extremely contagious. The state of medical knowledge is evolving, but the virus is believed to spread from person-to-person contact and/or by contact with contaminated surfaces and objects, and even possibly in the air. People reportedly can be infected and show no symptoms and therefore spread the disease. The exact methods of spread and contraction are unknown, and there is no known treatment, cure, or vaccine for COVID-19. Evidence has shown that COVID-19 can cause serious and potentially life-threatening illness and even death. Dallas Baptist University cannot prevent you from becoming exposed to, contracting, or spreading COVID-19 while utilizing DBU’s in-person services or premises. It is not possible to prevent against the presence of the disease. Therefore, if you choose to utilize DBU’s services and/or enter onto DBU’s premises you may be exposing yourself to and/or increasing your risk of contracting or spreading COVID-19.  Additionally, DBU may provide opportunities to attend off-campus learning sites or other off-campus premises, and DBU cannot prevent you from becoming exposed to, contracting, or spreading COVID-19 while attending any site off-campus.  
 
Any individual who utilizes DBU’s in-person services or enters its premises understands the risk of becoming exposed to or infected by COVID-19 and voluntarily agrees to assume all of the foregoing risks and accepts sole responsibility for any injury that may arise.  Individuals also must abide by DBU guidelines for health and safety as well as CDC and local public health guidelines. 

Dallas Baptist University is not responsible for the personal online communication, activities or publications of its students, faculty or staff, including the content of student organization and faculty web pages. Personal online communication, activities, publications and the contents of organization and faculty web pages are solely a result of the independent judgment of students, faculty, and staff in their individual capacities.

Nonetheless, DBU policy prohibits all users of DBU network resources from violating applicable copyright laws. This includes personal communication, activities, and publications by users for whom the university is an ISP. Copyright owners may notify DBU of alleged copyright infringements by users of DBU network resources.
