Grandparent's Day
Grandparents
influence their grandchildren having a profound and lasting
effect on their lives. Their support and encouragement through
the years help guide and shape the men and women that these
young people have become. During this transitional time of
life, college students may become busy with new activities
and new responsibilities, but contact with their grandparents
remains invaluable. Grandparents' Day gives students a chance
to spend time with their grandparents and show them the campus.
Grandparents are invited to eat lunch and take pictures with
their grandchildren, tour the campus, and participate in the
annual Norvell Slater Senior Adult Hymn Sing.
