Being Advised/How to Register
Home > Online Programs > Being Advised/How to Register Before students will be allowed to register, they must meet with an academic advisor from the departmental office through which their chosen major is administered. Students are responsible for initiating advising appointments, either by telephone, by email or in person. Online students are not required to come to campus while completing their degree program.
Undergraduate Students:
If you are a DBU undergraduate student pursuing a degree through the College of Adult Education, you have a designated academic advisor. You may reach your advisor by:
E-mail: caed@dbu.edu
Phone outside of the DFW metroplex area: (800) 460-8188
DFW area phone: (214) 333-5337.
DBU undergraduate students who wish to take online courses, and who are pursuing traditional degrees, should contact their appropriate departmental academic advisor.
Students residing on campus benefit from the traditional classroom environmnet which facilitates a valuable sense of community and communication on campus. Therefore, students residing in DBU dorms, apartments, and townhomes and those traditional-age undergraduate students residing in Collin, Dallas, and Denton, Ellis, Kaufman, Rockwall, and Tarrant counties may not enroll in DBU online courses during the fall and spring semesters. Hybrid courses are available to all DBU students.
