Personal Payments

Students who wish to pay for their tuition in full must do so at the time of registration to avoid being placed on a payment plan and being charged a payment plan fee.

The Cashier’s Office accepts cash and check payments at the front counter of the Cashier’s Office. DBU does not accept credit card or debit card payments in person, by mail, or over the phone for student accounts or apartment accounts. Instead, credit card and debit card payments for student and apartment accounts will be processed online through a third-party processor called TouchNet.

If you decide to make a credit card or debit card payment online through the TouchNet system, you will incur a 2.95% ($3 minimum fee) convenience feeE-checks, checks, or cash will still be accepted in the Cashier’s Office, and will not be charged a 2.95% convenience fee. As the costs of processing international transactions continue to rise, the current PayPath rate does not cover the cost of international transaction fees. As a result, effective February 23, 2024, International PayPath transactions will be charged a service fee of 4.25%.

For your convenience, there are two payment kiosks located in the Cashier’s Office. This kiosk will allow students to access the TouchNet system for tuition, apartment, and marketplace payments. A payment kiosk in the Apartment Life Office is also available for apartment rent payments.

Payment in non-dollar currencies are accepted through Flywire. This allows international students to wire money from their home bank to DBU.
