- When is the Computer Lab open?

- What does a student/professor need to
set up an account in the Computer Lab?
A Current Student/Faculty ID Card and about 5 minutes.
- How can a professor schedule a class
in the Computer Lab?
A professor may reserve a bay
of computers for any of their classes. We have 3 bays available
as long as a regularly scheduled class is not using them.
To schedule a bay for a class, visit the Computer Lab or
call 5282. Please allow a one-week notice to ensure that
a bay will be available.
- How many pages can a student print each
semester?
Students are allowed to print 350 pages on our laser printers
each semester. Any pages above 350 pages will cost $0.10
each.
- Can color printouts be made in the Computer
Lab?
Yes, students can purchase color ink jet printouts for $0.50
per page. Faculty can print in color for $0.10 per page
as long as the printout is University related. Personal
color printouts are $0.25 per page for faculty.
- Can transparencies be printed in the
Computer Lab?
Yes, black & white transparencies can be printed in the
computer lab for $0.75 per page and color transparencies
can be printed for $1.25 per page. Personal transparencies
are half price for faculty. Faculty can print black & white
transparencies for $0.20 per page and color transparencies
for $0.50 per page as long as the printout is University
related.
- Can diskettes be purchased in the Computer
Lab?
Yes, 3.5" disks can be purchased for $1.00 each, or a zip
disk for $15.00.
- Why can't I see students in GroupWise?
We have 2 separate email Servers on campus. The faculty
and staff E-mail is on the EMAIL1 server while the student
E-mail is on the EMAIL2 server.
- If I have a login ID on the ACAD (Student)
server, how can I check this email from home?
If you have Internet access, go to http://www.dbu.edu and
click on "Check Mail." Your GroupWise password must be set
up in the Computer Lab.
