The DBU Math Lab is available to all students
who need tutoring in math. Its purpose is to support instruction
by helping students sharpen their math skills.
Those courses which are most often tutored are:
- MATH 1101 - Pre-College Mathematics
- MATH 1300 - Intermediate Algebra
- MATH 1301 - Math for Liberal Arts
- MATH 1303 - College Algebra
Most tutors are also qualified to tutor:
- MATH 1307, 1308 - Math for Business Majors
- MATH 1405, 1406, 2407 - Calculus and Analytic
Geometry I, II, III
- MATH 2301 - Elementary Probability and
Statistics
- most upper-level math courses
Math tutoring is free to all students. The
tutors are DBU math students, most of whom are math majors.
The Math Lab is located on the first floor of the Roberts
Building, Room 117A, and the schedule of hours is posted in
various places on campus by the second week of each long semester.
It is up to the individual student to come
to the lab and ask for help. No appointment is necessary.
