Dr. Jennifer Calhoun teaches management and law classes at Dallas Baptist University, including Conflict Resolution, Employee Law, and Organizational Change and Development. Prior to law school, Dr. Calhoun was a tax manager for Baker Hughes, which instilled in her a love for the legal system. Upon receiving her law degree, Dr. Calhoun began her career as a litigator for a large law firm and subsequently became a partner at Cantey Hanger LLP, where she practiced as a courtroom litigator and received numerous awards for her contributions to the Dallas legal community. Notably, she was named Dallas County’s Pro-bono Lawyer of the Year.

Dr. Calhoun has a passion for mentoring her students and for introducing them to the justice system, which includes giving them access to real-time trial observation. She lives in University Park, TX with her husband of nearly 40 years. Together, they enjoy traveling, playing tennis, and attending Park Cities Baptist Church. They also enjoy spending time with their adult twin daughters.
