Dr. Cicely Jefferson came to Dallas Baptist University in 2014 as a student in the Ph.D. program in the Cook School of Leadership. In Fall 2021, she joined the DBU staff as an Adjunct teaching Business and Public Law. Before arriving at DBU, she served in full time ministry as a Connections Pastor for seven years, and as an Attorney for over fifteen years where she handled employment law matters and litigated cases on behalf of the Transportation Security Administration and Social Security Administration.

Her passion for people and learning are the driving forces behind her desire to see others reach their full potential in Christ through academics. She enjoys assisting students in the areas related to business, law, ministry, and leadership. Dr. Jefferson is humbled and grateful for the opportunity to be a part of each student’s journey as they navigate the professional world of business and law through a biblical worldview that integrates faith and learning. Dr. Jefferson is a member of Concord Church and lives in Cedar Hill, TX where she enjoys being an aunt to two nieces, one nephew, and one grandniece, as well as a mentor to several young adult women.
