Music Scholarship

Music scholarships are available to students of all majors. Qualifications are established primarily based on performing ability and academic record and are awarded by audition or consultation with an ensemble director. Scholarships are awarded for one academic year and renewal is not automatic, but subject to all requirements stated in the music major scholarships agreement and/or Music Department Handbook website (https://www.dbu.edu/fine-arts/music/handbook-forms.html) under Ensemble Scholarship Requirements.

All incoming first-year and transfer music students are highly encouraged to formally audition for admission into the Department of Music. Students considering the Bachelor of Music in Performance, Music Education or Bachelor of Musical Arts are REQUIRED to complete the music department audition for admission to those degree pathways. This audition will also serve as a scholarship audition for the student seeking music major scholarships. Edmund F. Boettcher Music Scholarship

Awarded by the Dean of the College of Fine Arts to music majors who are pursuing music as their major, this scholarship serves as a portion of the student's overall music scholarship awarded via the music majors audition process. Students who demonstrate financial need by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) will be strongly considered.
