National Merit Scholarship
DBU offers a limited number of full-tuition scholarships to National Merit Finalists who are admitted to DBU and select Dallas Baptist University as their first choice with the National Merit Scholarship Corporation by the published deadlines.

Scholarship Amount
The National Merit Scholarship is valued at full tuition per academic year for qualifying students. The National Merit Scholarship is limited to four years (eight full-time semesters) of undergraduate study and is applicable to tuition charges only.

While incoming students are automatically considered for the National Merit Scholarship by being admitted to DBU and who have selected Dallas Baptist University as their first choice with the National Merit Scholarship Corporation by the published deadlines, they should also speak with their admissions counselor about specific requirements required.
Specific Requirements
Incoming students at Dallas Baptist University (DBU) should contact their admission advisor to be considered for the scholarship upon admission. Recipients must:
- Present their National Merit Finalist Certificate to DBU.
- Have designated Dallas Baptist University as their first-choice institution with NMSC by the published deadlines.

Maintaining this Scholarship
- Maintain at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average and enroll in a minimum of 12 hours per semester.
- Progress toward the completion of their program of study at a rate that will ensure graduation is a reasonable length of time (meet Satisfactory Academic Progress).
