University Honors Program Scholarship

First-Year and transfer undergraduate students. Current Students may be able to apply if they meet Honor’s Program requirements.

Scholarship Amount

The University Honors Program Scholarship is valued at $2,000 + Academic Scholarship ($8,000-$14,000) per year based on high school GPA and test scores. The University Honors Program Scholarship is available each year students continue in the Honors program, not to exceed four years (eight full-time semesters) of undergraduate study, and is applicable to tuition charges only.

How to Apply

Eligibility for the University Honors Program Scholarship is determined by the DBU Application for Admission, the University Honors Program Application, and requires admittance/enrollment into the University Honors Program.

Maintaining this Scholarship

  • Students must maintain a 3.2 grade point average to remain in the program. If a student’s average falls below 3.2, they will be placed on probation and be allowed two semesters to bring their grade-point average back to a minimum of 3.2 in order to take honors courses.
  • Likewise, if a student earns a C- or below in an honors course, they will be placed on probation for a semester. During the probationary period, students cannot register for honors courses without special permission.
  • Students must also remain in good standing in Honors Enrichment in order to continue to register for honors courses.
  • Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress.
