International Academic Scholarships

Navigating the cost of higher education as an international student can be challenging—but you're not alone. This page is dedicated to helping international students find scholarships designed to ease the financial burden of studying abroad. Open To

Full-time undergraduate students from Canada, Mexico, or those affiliated with ACSI or the Global Community holding valid study-approved visas, residing on campus. For more details, please reach out to DBU's International Admissions Office.

Scholarship Amount

Academic Scholarships are valued from $8,000 to $14,000 per academic year for qualifying students. Academic Scholarship are limited to eight full-time semesters, and applicable to tuition charges only. These awards are reviewed annually.

  • Patriot Award - $8,000 per academic year - To qualify for the Patriot Award the typical student has an average GPA of 3.00, at least a 21 ACT/1100 SAT/71 CLT score (where applicable), and ranks in the top 50% of their high school class.
  • Patriot Honor Award - $9,000 per academic year - To qualify for the Patriot Honor Award the typical student has an average GPA of 3.40, at least a 23 ACT/1140 SAT/75 CLT score (where applicable), and ranks in the top 50% of their high school class.
  • Dean's Academic - $10,000 per academic year - To qualify for the Dean's Award the typical student has an average GPA of 3.65, at least a 24 ACT/1180 SAT/77 CLT score (where applicable), and ranks in the top 25% of their high school class.
  • Dean's Honor Award - $12,000 per academic year - To qualify for the Dean's Honor Award the typical student has an average GPA of 3.65, at least a 26 ACT/1240 SAT/82 CLT score (where applicable), and ranks in the top 20% of their high school class.
  • Presidential Scholar Award - $14,000 per academic year - To qualify for the Presidential Scholar Award the typical student has an average GPA of 3.95, at least a 28 ACT/1310 SAT/87 CLT score, and ranks in the top 10% of their high school class.

Maintaining these Scholarships 

To remain eligible for a DBU International Scholarship, eligible recipients must:

  • Reside in On-campus housing.
  • Maintain specific overall GPAs as listed above to remain on scholarship at Dallas Baptist University
  • Progress toward the completion of their program of study at a rate that will ensure graduation is a reasonable length of time (meet Satisfactory Academic Progress).
