Association for Biblical Higher Education

The DBU Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE) Scholarships are available to graduate and doctoral students affiliated with ABHE member institutions.*

Open To

  • Open to Master's or doctoral students who are faculty or staff of an ABHE member institution.
  • Any master’s or doctoral students who graduated from an ABHE member institution.

Scholarship Amount

The ABHE Partnership Scholarship awards 35% of tuition to master's or doctoral students who are faculty or staff at an ABHE member institution. 

The ABHE Student Scholarship awards 30% of tuition to master's or doctoral students who are graduates of an ABHE member institution. 

The ABHE Matching Scholarship provides a dollar-for-dollar match, based on the scholarship amount awarded by the ABHE member institution to a faculty or staff member pursuing a master’s or doctoral degree. Graduate students who receive this scholarship will also be evaluated for eligibility for the Master Christian Leadership Scholarship. 

How to Apply

Students must apply for ABHE Scholarships through the Graduate or Doctoral Office. Upon admission, eligible students should provide any required documentation to the respective office for verification and processing. Specific Requirements

ABHE Scholarships cannot be stacked. Students requiring additional information should reach out directly to the Graduate School (214) 333-5242 or email them at graduate@dbu.edu.

Maintaining this Scholarship

To remain eligible for the ABHE Scholarship, eligible recipients must:
  • Maintain at least 3.0 cumalative grade point average
  • Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress meeting all three federally required components. Minimum GPA, Completion Rate, & Maximum Hours)

*Please note: DBU graduates are not eligible for the ABHE Student Scholarship. This scholarship is available only to graduates of other ABHE member institutions. For more information on scholarship opportunities for DBU graduates, please contact DBU's financial aid office.
