DBU Ministry Connect

DBU Ministry Connect is an initiative of the Graduate School of Ministry at Dallas Baptist University in providing kingdom resources to churches and ministry organizations in the advancement of the Gospel. These kingdom resources include Ministry Connect Luncheon Convos, a Ministry Connect 1-day Conference on Thursday April 4, 2019, and the Ministry Connect Podcasts (coming soon).

Luncheon Convos

The Ministry Connect Luncheon Convos Series will be a unique opportunity to connect in engaging conversations with leaders in ministry about relevant issues facing 21st century Christianity. For 2018-2019, connect with other ministry leaders in rich conversations exploring Authentic Discipleship, Risk Management, Cross-cultural Engagement, Counseling Competencies and Worship Creativity.

Topic: Domestic Violence and Bullying
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed” (Psalm 34:18). We will examine the abuse cycle and learn how to share biblical hope and practical steps in helping those who are abused.

Speaker: June Hunt, M.A., is an author, singer, speaker, and founder of Hope for the Heart, a worldwide biblical counseling ministry. June is dedicated to presenting God’s Truth for Today’s Problems, inspired by Romans 12:2. Her lifework has yielded landmark contributions in the field of Christian counseling. Hope for the Heart, which she founded in 1986, offers Biblical Hope and Practical Help through biblical counsel, coaching, and context for contemporary concerns in more than 60 countries on 6 continents.
