TEACP School Counselor Certification

Enhance Your Career in Education

The Teacher Education Alternative Certification Program (TEACP) in School Counseling is designed for individuals who already hold a master’s degree in a counseling-related field, such as professional counseling, and are seeking initial certification as a school counselor. This 18-hour certification program builds upon candidates’ existing clinical knowledge while providing focused preparation in school counseling foundations, ethical practice, and the developmental, academic, and social-emotional needs of P–12 students. TEACP offers a streamlined, rigorous pathway for professionals who feel called to serve students, families, and school communities through comprehensive school counseling programs.
