Prof. Martha Oldenburg has served in the field of education in a variety of roles throughout her career. She spent more than 30 years in public education as a teacher, counselor, and principal before serving as a consultant at ESC Region XI in Fort Worth. Her extensive experience in public education and educational leadership has given her a broad perspective on the many ways educators can support students and schools. She now serves as a professor and Associate Dean at Dallas Baptist University, where she has the opportunity to give back by teaching and mentoring those who are preparing to become educators.
Prof. Oldenburg is passionate about education and children and believes that every child needs a teacher who believes in them. After spending decades serving students and educators, she values the opportunity to invest in the next generation of teachers. She is grateful to serve at an institution that believes people matter and recognizes its students as hope for the future. Through her work at DBU, Prof. Oldenburg is passionate about encouraging future educators to believe in the potential of every student and to make a lasting difference in the lives of the children they serve.
