As a parent of a DBU Alumna, I consider it an honor and privilege to be your primary point of contact and to partner with you during your student's academic journey. Your student's DBU experience will be unique, and I am excited to assist you and minister to you along the way.

BSM Care Packages
Each semester, the Baptist Student Ministry allows parents to purchase care boxes for students preparing for the week of final exams.

Get Involved at DBU
Families are welcome to attend DBU events throughout the year and at any time your student wants to invite you to campus. We look forward to seeing you on campus!
Prayer Gatherings
Throughout the Year
Join us at the Parent Prayer Gathering to pray for DBU students and the university. Gatherings will take place at various locations throughout the semester. They are a great way for parents to connect.
Family Weekend
Homecoming Event
Family Weekend is an annual DBU tradition inviting students' families to University Hill during the Homecoming festivities. Invite the family for a fun weekend on campus and cheer on the DBU Patriots!
Chapel
MWF at 10:00 a.m.
Chapel is a foundational event of the campus's Spiritual Life experience. The DBU family comes together to worship, learn truths from Scripture, and hear important announcements about campus life.
Spring Sing
Spring Event
Spring Sing is a university tradition where Greek Life showcases their singing, dancing, and acting talents. The event consists of two rounds, with the first round being for all groups, to determine a winner.
College of Fine Arts Events
Throughout the Year
The College of Fine Arts offers musical performances and artistic showcases to highlight the talents of DBU students and faculty. The annual Christmas Festival is a favorite DBU Christmas tradition.
Commencement Services
May and December
Students preparing to graduate can participate in two very special DBU traditions. The Candlelighting Service and Commencement Service celebrate the conclusion of their time at DBU.
Grandparents' Day
Spring Event
Grandparents are invited to spend a day on campus with their DBU student. The day's activities include Friday Chapel, a luncheon/program, and DBU's Annual Hymn Sing.
