DBU Celebrates Historic Enrollment Growth for Fall 2025

Dallas Baptist University is celebrating a historic enrollment milestone as the Fall 2025 freshman class marks the largest in school history. A record 693 new Patriots joined University Hill this semester, a significant increase from 614 in Fall 2024. DBU also saw a 3% rise in first-year retention, a key marker of student success. Transfer enrollment reached 135 students, a 16.4% jump from last year, while the Pre-College Academy (PCA) program grew to 472 students, nearly a 30% increase, underscoring the growing impact of DBU's partnerships with local high schools.
In total, DBU now welcomes 2,978 undergraduate students, along with 1,035 graduate and 217 doctoral students, bringing total enrollment to 4,230 students across all programs. This steady growth highlights DBU's continued momentum in reaching and equipping students at every academic level.
"DBU exists to be a place where faith and learning go hand in hand," said Dr. Adam C. Wright, President of DBU. "This record-setting enrollment affirms that families across the nation are seeking a university that not only provides excellent academics but also fosters spiritual formation. For students like freshman Katie Best, these numbers represent more than statistics. "It's so special to be a part of the largest freshman class to date, I chose DBU for its mission-focused education, but I'm staying because the professors and staff truly live it out. I'm, honored and excited to be part of this special milestone."
"This historic fall enrollment cycle is a testament to God's faithfulness and the hard work of our entire campus community," said Jonathan Teat, Senior Vice President, "Our admissions, student life, and academic teams have worked tirelessly to steward a welcoming and transformative experience for students at DBU. We are seeing more students than ever choose DBU because they are drawn to the academic excellence and Christ-centered mission of producing servant leaders."
As the 2025-2026 academic year begins, DBU stands poised to build on this momentum.
