Worship Studies at DBU

Throughout Christian history, corporate worship has taken on many diverse styles and forms influenced by theological interpretation, political freedom, church structures, and cultural expression. Today, Christian worship is again redefining itself through new and refreshing tools of religious expression in music, art, and drama, blending traditional and ancient worship practices with new music and creative technologies, all of which enhance the worship experience. Every Christian generation is charged with the challenge of educating and training the next generation of worship leaders who will serve the Christian community in the future. As an institution committed to developing servant-leaders to serve our churches, Dallas Baptist University continually reevaluates our church music programs to ensure their relevance to the needs of our Baptist constituency and other churches which look to DBU for ministry leadership and development.
