EBAM Programs
The Center for Entrepreneurship and Business as Mission (EBAM) offers programs that give students practical opportunities to build ventures, evaluate real businesses, engage in Business-as-Mission, learn from partners, and collaborate across disciplines. Together, these opportunities help students connect classroom learning with faith-led service in the marketplace.
Private Equity Investment Club
The Private Equity Investment Club gives students the opportunity to evaluate real businesses created for Kingdom impact, practice due diligence, interview founders and raise capital to invest in a business chosen by the students.
Real Businesses. Real Diligence. Real Learning.
Launched in 2025 as part of DBU's Entrepreneurial Finance class, the Investment Club gives students hands-on experience with real pitch decks from real businesses raising real capital.
In 2025, students reviewed 17 pitch decks from businesses run by Christians for the sake of Kingdom impact. They selected their top four opportunities and raised $10,000 to invest through partnerships with NCF of North Texas and Impact Foundation.
Matching Funds and Future Growth
The current vision is to run the Investment Club each Fall and secure matching funds that allow students to invest more and in more of their chosen businesses for greater Kingdom impact. All returns from these investments are to be used to grow the EBAM Center’s scholarships, faculty, staff and programs.
New Venture Creation
Launched in 2026, the EBAM Center’s New Venture Creation challenges students to start up a business and get to revenue before graduation.
Each venture is expected to consider how the business can serve people, create value, and reflect Christ-centered purpose.

Recent student venture ideas have included:
- A Daily Bread Bakery delivering home cooked meals to families;
- A coffee shop near UTA focused on reaching international students;
- A pharmaceutical drug developed based on DBU faculty proprietary rights;
- And more...
Supporting Student Entrepreneurs
The EBAM Center is praying for funds to support MVP (minimum viable product) design, development, and seed capital so that student entrepreneurs can make real progress toward sustainable ventures.
Faith-Based Accelerator
The EBAM Faith-Based Accelerator seeks to build and grow faith-based startups run by students, alumni and the faith-based DFW community. These startups may be located in DFW or around the world. We provide coaching, networking and introductions to third party private capital and other resources.
As we grow, we hope to have DBU students assisting with business plan creation, market research, industry analysis, financial forecasting, faith integration strategies and perhaps access to MVP development funds and seed capital.
A Vision for Expansion
The EBAM Center’s accelerator model is built around faculty leadership and partner relationships. As EBAM grows, the Center is praying for Entrepreneurs-in-Residence, EBAM Scholars, BAM Scholars and full-time staff support to strengthen the accelerator and expand its capacity.
Walter L. Bradley Center for Global Economic Development and Innovation
Through entrepreneurship, innovation, business, engineering, and technology, the Bradley Center seeks to foster economic opportunity for those globally who may benefit most from creative solutions and faithful service.
A Vision for Global Impact
The Bradley Center's vision is for DBU to become an internationally recognized leader in the development and deployment of innovations in business, engineering, and technology that foster economic opportunities for the poor and needy, so that all people may know Christ and praise Him.
Travel Studies
EBAM Travel Studies help students encounter Business-as-Mission beyond the classroom.
They give students the opportunity to observe how believers use business to serve communities, create jobs, build relationships, and advance the Kingdom.
These short-term opportunities are especially valuable for students who may not be able to commit an entire summer to a Business-as-Mission internship but can participate in a 1-2 week travel study for academic credit.
Past and Future Opportunities
DBU students have previously visited businesses doing mission work in places such as Bangladesh, Israel, and Sierra Leone. The EBAM Center is also planning future travel study opportunities, including a Fall 2026 Hawaii travel study.
Future Opportunities
The EBAM Center seeks additional opportunities for students to visit businesses in mission-field contexts through internships, travel studies, and future partnerships.
Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration
The most meaningful innovations often happen when people with different gifts work together.
Through Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration, students in business, entrepreneurship, marketing, engineering, science, finance, music, the arts, ministry, education, and other fields can learn to collaborate around real problems and meaningful opportunities.
In 2025, DBU approved an Engineering Practicum lab that allows entrepreneurship students and other business students to work with engineering students to build new products.
We are also looking to expand relationships and education opportunities with any of the other 75 majors on campus.
