Dr. Bob Colton Named Advisor of the Year at DBU

Dallas Baptist University has named Dr. Bob Colton, Professor of Psychology and Counseling, as the 2011 Advisor of the Year.

Dr. Colton has been a member of the faculty in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences since 1990. He also served as the director of the DBU Counseling Center for 20 years, until August 2011. Dr. Colton has been licensed as a psychologist in the State of Texas by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists.

Prior to entering the teaching profession, he served as a pastor for 20 years in churches across Texas and Colorado.

He and his wife, Mary Jane, reside in Lancaster and have two grown children and nine grandchildren. They are active members of Heritage Baptist Church in Waxahachie.
