Dr. Rebecca Dark's Background

Rebecca Dark is a Professor of English and Academic Dean. She also serves as faculty in the DBU Honors Program.

Dr. Dark’s research focuses on gender, literary theory, medieval studies, and popular culture. She has published in academic journals such as SELIM: Spanish Society for Medieval English Language and Literature and Early English Studies. She also has lectured internationally at Oxford, the University of Seville, the Spanish Society for Medieval Language and Literature (Cordoba and Salamanca), and nationally at the International Conference on Medieval Studies (Kalamazoo), Shakespeare Association of America (Chicago), South Central Modern Language Association, and the Southwest Conference on Christianity and Literature. 

Dr. Dark has developed many classes for DBU, including Introduction to Literary Theory and Great Texts of the Medieval World, and she mentors graduate students through the thesis program.
