Admission Criteria
Are you ready to take the next step in your career? The DBU Educational Diagnostician Alternative Certification Program is designed for professionals like you. This program is perfect if you have:
- A master's degree from an accredited college with a maximum of a 3.0 GPA
- Minimum of 3 years of classroom teaching experience as a certified teacher
- Valid Texas teaching certificate

Educator Preparation Program (EPP) Admission Requirements
After admission to the Educational Diagnostician Alternative Certification Program, all students must also be admitted into the EPP. Admission requirements include:
- Valid service record indicating 3 or more years of service as a classroom teacher
- Admission screener
- Signed acknowledgement of the Texas Educator Code of Ethics
- Signed acknowledgement of FERPA form
- Signed admission letter
- Successful background check
- TEA ID#
- Official transcript documenting conferred master's degree
- Documentation of required professional development sessions

All Program Fees are Non-Refundable.
Flat rate pricing available is only applicable to the first enrollment in the course. Multiple enrollments due to failure or withdrawal will be charged at the regular tuition rate.
