DBU Establishes New Scholarships for First-Year, Transfer, and Adult Students
These are especially difficult times for students to afford a college education, but more than ever our world needs leaders who are thoroughly prepared with the professional knowledge and Christian character to serve in various fields of leadership and culture transformation.
This year, DBU is glad to announce its addition of several new scholarships to support adult and traditional-aged students in the pursuit of those callings.
- Among new scholarships for first-year students is a $5,000 award for high school students who have enrolled in DBU’s dual-credit Honors Scholars Academy and attend DBU after high school ($1,250 per year for four years).
- Incoming transfer students who were active members of the Baptist Student Ministry at their prior institution are eligible for a $1,000 per year scholarship.
- First-year and transfer students who are accepted to the University Honors Program can receive between $10,000 to $14,000 per year in scholarship support.
- For adult students engaged in critical First-Responder services to their local communities, DBU offers applicants a $500 per semester scholarship.
- In addition, qualifying adult students can receive a Christian Service Scholarship that covers $3,000 per academic year.
“DBU remains committed to raising future leaders who want to unite their passions with providing solutions to today’s most pressing issues,” says Jonathan Teat, Vice President for Administration and Enrollment. "Knowing that financial concerns and challenges are real for students and their families, it is hoped that the offering of these new scholarships will benefit students in achieving their goals.”
