WAB Events
Events are special times for members of the Women’s Auxiliary Board to come together for luncheons and various service opportunities throughout the year to support DBU’s mission to provide Christ-centered higher education.
Yellow Ribbon Luncheon
This annual fall luncheon celebrates the launching of the new academic year and introduces new programs and goals of the University to members and guests.
Ruth Awards
Our Ruth Awards Luncheon honors 3 women in the community who exemplify the character traits of Ruth from the Bible. This annual Christmas tradition is always a favorite of our members as we hear the Christian testimonies of ladies who love the Lord and support DBU wholeheartedly. Please make plans to make reservations early as seating will be limited.
Bluebonnet Luncheon
This annual spring luncheon highlights graduating international students and celebrates spring on University Hill.
Membership Tea
This annual gathering provides opportunities to introduce friends to DBU and join the organization for the upcoming academic year.
Please note that ladies sign up for these opportunities each year when renewing membership or becoming a new member.
New Student Reception
This annual fall reception welcomes all incoming DBU freshmen and transfer students. Women's Auxiliary Board ladies help with greeting and guiding students through the President's home on DBU's campus.
FLOW – Free Lunch On Wednesday
The Women's Auxiliary Board provides lunch and serves twice per year at Baptist Student Ministry Noon Days for DBU students with an emphasis on international students.
Graduating International Reception
The Women's Auxiliary Board hosts two semi-annual receptions, in May and December, for graduating international students and their families.
Honors Day Reception
This reception recognizes DBU's Honor Students and welcomes their families and friends.
