DBU Launches PPE Program

Nation Hall at DBU - Dallas, Texas

Dallas, TX – This Fall, DBU will launch its newest academic program, the Politics, Philosophy, and Economics major, which will be housed in the Cook School of Leadership.

The PPE major is designed to equip and develop servant leaders who will engage complex global challenges facing society today through a Christian worldview and seek to make a positive difference in the world. The major will prepare students to enter influential fields such as politics, business, consultancy, diplomatic service, law, economics, or international relations.

In addition, the major is designed to allow students the opportunity to partake in travel study courses to places like Oxford, England, Israel, and Washington, D.C., as well as other domestic and international locations.

“We modeled the program after other leading majors of this kind at top Universities in England and the U. S.,” explained Lee Bratcher, Coordinator of the PPE Program. “Our goal in creating this major was to meet the growing need of many of our students who feel called into the world of public service. It is our prayer that in the years ahead, the Lord would raise up a generation of DBU scholar statesmen who will have the ability to communicate winsomely and lead faithfully in their respective callings.
