The Dallas Baptist University Women's Golf team once again cemented its place among the nation's elite, capturing the 2026 NCAA Division II National Championship at PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. With the victory, the Patriots secured back-to-back national titles and the program's fourth championship in the last six seasons.

Led by Head Coach Kenny Trapp, the Patriots delivered a dominant performance throughout match play, defeating Anderson in the national championship final. Ella Cheek clinched the title-winning moment with a birdie on the final hole, while teammates Gracie Grant, Chloe Sirkin, Sidney Robertson, and Madison Ude each played pivotal roles in the championship run.

"What a great week for the program! I am so proud of the girls for playing their very best when it mattered most!" Trapp said. "The culture that we have built is now seeing the fruits of labor from the last 21 years. It truly takes a village and everyone buying in with the same purpose and passion! What this program has accomplished over the past several years is something we will never take for granted."

DBU entered the tournament as the No. 2-ranked team in the nation after earning its 10th consecutive NCAA National Championship berth earlier this month. The Patriots advanced through stroke play as the tournament's second seed before defeating Tampa and Cal State San Marcos to reach the national championship match.

The championship further adds to one of the most successful stretches in Division II women's golf history. DBU became the first Division II program to repeat as national champions since 2014 and now holds the most national titles in the division since the NCAA adopted the current match-play format in 2019.

"What an exciting time to be a DBU Patriot!" said DBU President Dr. Adam C. Wright. "Coach Kenny Trapp and these exceptional student-athletes have once again represented DBU with excellence on the national stage. To win back-to-back national championships and secure the program's fourth title in six years is an extraordinary achievement that reflects years of faithful preparation, teamwork, and perseverance. We are incredibly proud of this team and grateful for the way they continue to honor the Lord, the University, and one another through their pursuit of excellence."
