Undergraduate Admissions Checklist
The steps below are criteria for those applying to a bachelor's degree, associate's degree, or certificate program. Explore Undergraduate Programs >>
Step 1: Apply for Admission
- Application
- Transcripts and Diplomas/Graduation Certificates
- Essay
- Topic: "Why I Want to Study at DBU", 250 word minimum
- English Test Scores - not required for those going into IEP
Step 2: Immigration Verification
- Copy of Passport
- (optional) F-1 Student Visa
- Apply for an I-20 if you need an F student visa to study at DBU

Step 3: Complete Pre-Arrival Documents & Reserve Housing
- Immunizations
- Tuberculosis Test Results
- Meningitis Vaccine
- Not required if you are 22 years or older
- DBU Housing Request
- Complete Online Housing Application
- Upon your acceptance to DBU, a link will be sent to your listed email with login credentials to complete the housing application. If for some reason you do not receive this link, contact University Housing at housing@dbu.edu or 214-333-5455.
- Report of Medical History
- Additional Immunizations
- TDap Vaccine
- MMR Vaccine
- Complete Online Housing Application

Graduate Admissions Checklist

Step 1: Apply for Admission
- Application
- Statement of Purpose
- 300 word minimum, Essay must be specific to DBU
- Transcripts and Diplomas / Graduation Certificates
- Students applying from India must provide individual marksheets for each semester
- Note: Official, sealed Transcripts from all schools attended are required
- Include literal English translation with the officially issued credentials
- Students applying from Africa must submit their transcripts for 3rd-party evaluation since we do not evaluate African transcripts.
- GMAT/GRE Scores (if required by the degree program)
- Resume or CV in English
- 2 Recommendation Letters
- Church Membership Letter required for ministry programs
- English Test Scores - not required for those going into IEP
