2024-2025 COACH

Head Coach GREYSON GOEBEL

Greyson Goebel has been a student of debate and forensics for over nine years, actively competing and coaching in Team Policy, American Parliamentary, Public Forum, and both the Individual and Team formats of International Public Debate (IPDA/TIPDA). After founding the program in 2021 and serving as its student coach for two years, he now serves as the Head Coach of the Patriot Debate Team and holds a B.A. in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics.

As a competitor, Greyson has accumulated a total of 137 ranked awards and been the recipient of 25 distinct championship titles. Most notably, he has been recognized as a three-time National Champion by the International Public Debate Association for his formidable performance at the collegiate level.

As a coach, Greyson has also seen success, leading Dallas Baptist University’s Debate Team to over 70 squad awards, 14 national championship titles, a national ranking as the first place Scholastic program in the United States (‘23), a seat on the IPDA Governing Board (‘24), and a nomination for the IPDA’s Bennett Strange Coach of the Year (‘25) - all within only four years.
