DBU Recognized as Member of 2021 Phi Theta Kappa’s Transfer Honor Roll
Dallas Baptist University has been recognized as one of 150 colleges to receive membership on Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society’s (PTK) Transfer Honor Roll for 2021. The Transfer Honor Roll acknowledges colleges and universities that excel in the integration of transfer students within the student body and create dynamic pathways for these students on campus.
Phi Theta Kappa’s online tool, PTK Connect, offers information and data to help prospective students find their best-fit college, career pathways, and more. PTK Connect allows students to search for colleges by name, their scholarship opportunities, and cost, making college prospects’ decisions easier. The Transfer Honor Roll provided by PTK and made possible by a $100,000 grant from The Jack Kente Cook Foundation chooses schools through the evaluation of participating colleges’ Transfer Profiles, conveniently identifying institutions that cater to transfer students’ needs.
After the examination of Dallas Baptist University’s Transfer profile on PTK Connect, DBU was placed in the top 25% of the most transfer friendly colleges, recognizing its efforts to integrate transfer students into the student body with ease, with hopes of helping all students get connected on campus, receive a Christ-centered education, and graduate with confidence as they step out into the world.
DBU’s Associate Vice President for Enrollment Jason Williams expressed, “Dallas Baptist University is honored to be selected to the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Roll. We appreciate the PTK’s passion for student success and the quality students that attend DBU with PTK scholarships.”
