DBU Hosts 4th Annual Christian Leadership Summit

Dallas, TX – Dr. Marcus “Goodie” Goodloe, Teaching Pastor at Parkcrest Church in Long Beach, California and long-time friend and alumnus of Dallas Baptist University, was recently honored with the Jim and Sally Nation Award at the 4th annual Christian Leadership Summit at DBU.

The event, held for those interested in pursuing masters or doctoral degrees through the Gary Cook School of Leadership, took place on May 19 and 20 on the DBU campus, and featured a dinner to kick off the summit. There, two additional awards were given to Dr. Karen Hatley and Dr. Blake Flickner, who exhibited particularly excellent writing in their dissertations.

The Jim and Sally Nation Award, given to an individual who greatly enriches the program, was presented to Dr. Goodloe for his continued involvement in the program and with the University, visiting campus often to speak to different groups of students. Recently, a scholarship fund was established in his honor to help DBU students.
