On Monday we went to the Cooper Hewitt museum and took a tour of Julliard. At Cooper Hewitt, there was an extensive E. McKnight Kauffer exhibit. During his lifetime he was called “the poster king” and was the first designer to establish a brand identity for The London Underground. As a graphic design major, this exhibit was the most impactful to me so far. Kauffer was an inspiring forward thinker of his time and his designs impacted modern design even past his time. Julliard was a fun experience for everyone.

Julliard was a fun experience for everyone. Architecturally, it’s a beautiful school and helped me realize the great importance of being a patron of all the different art forms.

We were ahead of schedule so we got to walk through Central Park. The weather was perfect and it was a beautiful day! We stopped at a little cafe and took a really cute group photo on some benches. I kept imagining it in the summer, packed with people, picnics on the grass, and a bunch of dogs walking around. It was a good, a nice breath of fresh air in the middle of a busy day!
