Scholarships

Generally, scholarships are awarded based on merit (academic, talent, athletic), but some may also require that the student demonstrate financial need. Scholarships are considered a resource of other financial assistance (OFA). If you receive a scholarship or any other financial assistance that is not listed in your award notice, federal regulations require that you report it to the Financial Aid Office, who will review and, if necessary, recalculate your overall aid eligibility.

To be eligible for most institutional scholarships, the student must be in good standing and be making satisfactory progress toward his or her educational goals. Additional eligibility requirements may exist for each award, as stated on each scholarship's page. Each institutional scholarship has specific renewal requirements. For example, many institutional scholarships have a minimum GPA renewal requirement, separate from the SAP policy.

To receive any scholarship from Dallas Baptist University, a student must be in good standing with the University and meet all requirements stated for that particular scholarship. No institutional scholarships are paid on repeat classes.
