Here are a few questions and answers for the most common computer issues at DBU:

What and where is the academic computer lab?
Visit the Academic Computer Lab web site for complete information on the computer labs on campus.

How can I get Internet Access?
You can get internet access by coming to the Academic Lab and picking up a setup guide to help you through are inernet setup process. Cable internet is available to students in Williams, Lange, and Spence hall, and wireless internet is available to students in all dorms and apartments, as well as commuting students.

Do I need to use a special wireless card in my computer?
It is recommended that you use an 802.11g wireless card, or have a laptop with an internal wireless card to access the DBU wireless network.

Is my dorm wireless or wired for Internet?
After you know what dorm you will be staying in, call 214-333-5282 and ask if your dorm and room number have wireless access, wired access, or both.

Can I get free Anti-Virus Software for my computer?
Yes. One free anti-virus software can be found here:
http://free.grisoft.com/doc/1 


Mac users:
 iAntiVirus free.


How do I register for class online?
Through DBU's WebAdvisor web site for students. You must meet certain criteria before registering online. See the site for details.
