This luncheon, with 325 individuals in attendance, marked the largest Women’s Auxiliary Board event to date. Following Joyce, Yellow Ribbon Luncheon Committee Chair Allison Arnold expressed her gratitude toward her committee members. She then recognized the work and legacy of the Wrights, sharing personal remarks about her friendship with them through the years, spanning back to their time together as undergraduate students at DBU. Dr. Wright then spoke, highlighting the events of SWAT week and the athletic victories of the DBU Women’s golf, soccer, cheer, and dance teams. After Dr. Wright concluded his remarks, a special presentation was given by Vice President for Communications Dr. Blake Killingsworth, Provost Dr. Norma Hedin, General Counsel Christa Powers, and Executive Director of the Women’s Auxiliary Board Leslie Moulton. As a token of gratitude, the Wrights were presented a gift consisting of a donation to their endowed scholarship fund and an original watercolor painting of their home. As the new academic year began, the Women’s Auxiliary Board was thrilled to be back in person with one another, celebrating all the Lord has done and continues to do in the lives of DBU students.
