25 CLOSING STATEMENT AND ANY ADDITIONAL SALUTATIONS. FACULTY CLASSROOM PROTOCOL CHECKLIST Pre-course announcement (Prior to first course session)  Provide a welcome and introduction in Blackboard.  Post class expectations template in Blackboard.  Explain course instruction format (Face-to-Face, Hybrid, Flex, Online) and schedule.  Familiarize students with class expectations related to health and wellness (PPE, seating/ social distancing, cleaning protocol, requirements related to remote and face-to-face attendance, paperless process).  Explain seating chart.  Review how students will be assessed and evaluated based on course modality (raising hands remotely, joining discussion in class discussion, etc.).  Explain process for addressing technology issues related to class connection.  Explain how feedback will occur (remote/face-to-face office hours, gradebook, etc.).  Explain how Q/A takes place immediately after class session (e.g., Questions on the Quad). Pre-class Procedures (Before each class session)  Upload handouts to the Blackboard course shell.  Include classroom implements and resources for the session (PPT, videos, etc.).  Determine Learner Centered Outcome(s) to be addressed during session.  Establish class polls or discussion activities. Beginning of Class Procedures  Students should wait in the hallway until everyone from the previous class has vacated the room. Faculty may release students by row.  As students enter, remind about social distancing in class (PowerPoint slide reminders may be beneficial).  Encourage all students to utilize cleaning implements prior to class for their seating area (Cleaning implement will be located at the entry point to the room).  Faculty should assign seats or require students to use the same seat for each class attendance.  When applicable, open electronic class portal (Blackboard Collaborate, Teams, Zoom, etc.), check equipment, and load necessary class resources/visuals.  If recording the class session, set the class to record.  Conduct attendance check for all students both electronically and face-to-face.
