Student Health Insurance

All resident students (dorms, apartments, or townhouses), international students, and student-athletes are required to hold appropriate health insurance coverage either through personal health insurance or by purchasing the Health Insurance Plan offered by Academic Health Plans through the Cashier's Office. The University requires students to provide documentation of appropriate health insurance coverage to the Cashier’s Office for the Fall and Spring semesters by the corresponding add/drop date.

Students who do not provide proof of appropriate health insurance coverage to the Cashier's Office will be automatically enrolled into the Health Insurance Plan offered by Academic Health Plans. The cost of the insurance plan will be charged to the student's account.

All International students will be automatically enrolled in the University-sponsored student health insurance plan; the cost of the insurance plan will be included with the cost of the student’s tuition.

Dallas Baptist University is proud to offer a cost effective student health insurance plan to its students who enroll in at least 3 or more credit hours each semester (6 hours for distant education students). The Student Health Insurance Plan is administered by Academic Health Plans and underwritten through United Healthcare.
