Report #4: The Little Flowers

For your last report, you will be assigned a collection of stories about the Francis of Assisi by Ugolino di Monte Santa Maria from his the Little Flowers of St. Francis. Your  report should include the following:
  1. A brief summary of the narratives;
  2. An explanation of the key lesson in each one, as well as an emphasis on characterization;
  3. Your personal response to each. For this last part, you may discuss your view of the narrative qualities, the implied theology, the symbolism, as well as what they have to offer your own life in the way of truth, wisdom, or beauty.

You may also find that you want to look at secondary background sources. If you do, please remember to site them both in the body of the handout and in a Works Cited list.

The total presentation should take no more than ten minutes, so you'll want to practice ahead of time and plan to be both concise in your findings and assured in your organization.
