Steps to completing your admissions file

Please send any of the following that have not previously been submitted to complete your file.

- $25 non-refundable application fee
- 250 word essay entitled "Why I Want to Attend DBU"
- Official transcripts from all previously attended colleges and    universities.  Transcripts must be received by DBU in unopened    envelopes to be considered official.
- Those seeking to enter the University with no hours from a    regionally accredited college or university must have earned a 2.5    cumulative GPA on their high school transcript and achieved    acceptable scores on the ACT or SAT.

- Those seeking to enter the University with fewer than 30 hours    from a regionally accredited college or university and a cumulative    GPA of less than 2.5 must have achieved acceptable scores on the    ACT or SAT.

Set up your DBU Online account

Enter the student section and click on "account access setup." Then follow the instructions. For help, click on "account setup instructions" or call the Academic Computer Lab at (214) 333-5500.

Access DBU E-mail

To use your DBU E-mail account, Login Here.

 
 
Obtain a Parking Permit (If needed)

Obtain a parking permit from the Campus Security Office (Strickland Building, map).
*vehicle license number is required

 
 
Receive a DBU Student ID Card
Receive a Student ID at the Academic Computer Lab (Collins Learning Center, map) or at the Registrar's Office (John G. Mahler Student Center, map).

Take the Math Advising Tool (eMAT)

If you are planning to enroll in a math or accounting course, you must take the Math Advising Tool (eMAT) before you will be allowed to register. The eMAT helps determine your readiness for math-related courses. Unless you have documented disabilities, you are required to take the eMAT online. To access eMAT instructions and the test click here. For those with documented disabilities, contact the Office of Student Affairs at (214) 333-5101 for assistance.

  DBU Counseling Center
The DBU Counseling Center provides quality Christian counseling services to currently enrolled DBU students at no cost and to non-students for a minimal fee. For information concerning these services, contact the Counseling Center at (214) 333-5288.

       Prayer Ministry
The DBU Intercessory Prayer Ministry is dedicated to lifting the needs of the students, faculty, and staff to our heavenly Father. Prayer requests may be submitted by calling (214) 333-5235 or by emailing kathyk@dbu.edu.

Tutoring

      DBU Writing Center
The DBU Writing Center provides free one-on-one tutoring to students who need assistance on writing assignments. To obtain more information, call (214) 333-5474.

         DBU Math Lab
The DBU Math Lab offers free assistance to students who need help with math classes as well as Math Advising Tool preparation. Call (214) 333-5303 for more information.
